BIOGRAPHY
Andy Serkis is perhaps best known for his memorable, critically acclaimed performance as Gollum in Peter Jackson’s Academy Award-winning film, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, achieved using special technology. With the same magic of cinema, he managed to bring the character of Kong to life in Jackson’s film: “King Kong.” Serkis has acted in numerous films, including “The Final Trick,” “The Country House,” “24 Hour Party People,” and the Mike Leigh films “Topsy-Turvy” and “Two Girls.” today.” Likewise, he recently lent his voice to the animated film “Mousetown,” and also wrote and directed a short film called “Snake,” starring Lorraine Ashbourne, and Rupert Graves. Serkis has played a wide variety of theater roles in London and throughout the United Kingdom, including Iago in “Othello” at the Royal Exchange Theater and Potts in the original cast of “Mojo.”
