BIOGRAPHY
In 2008, Giovanna Lancellotti left the city where she grew up to live in the capital, São Paulo, with the intention of studying theater. Three years later, at the age of 16, she was emancipated by her parents, who did not have time to accompany her acting audition routine. That same year she landed her first television role as Cecília Machado in Insensato Coração (2011). After a couple more television appearances, Lancellotti made her film debut in Entre Abelhas (2015). The following years, the actress stood out in films such as Tudo por um Pop Star (2018), and in soap opera series such as Sol naciente (2016-2017) and Nuevo Sol (2018). In 2020 she starred in the romantic comedy Ricos de amor , in which a rich boy, played by Danilo Mesquita, is determined to prove himself to Paula (Lancellotti), her love interest. But when she tells him that she grew up poor, the lie gets out of control.
