BIOGRAPHY
Manuel Balbi began his acting studies in the city of San Luis Potosí at the age of 16 in an acrobatics workshop and as a prop in a theater workshop of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in the capital of Potosí. In 1996, at age 18, he moved to Mexico City, after being accepted into Televisa’s acting school, the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA). He also took workshops at CasAzul, from Argos Comunicación, and, in 2002, he studied cinematographic techniques with the actor Luis Felipe Tovar at the El Set academy. His first important role was in the soap opera La widow in white in 2006. Manuel is known for having played the regular role of Rodrigo Rivero Lanz in the successful series El Señor de los Cielos , which he joined in 2018 from the second season. In 2020 he was part of the Telemundo series 100 days to fall in love , starring Ilse Salas, Mariana Treviño, Erick Elías and David Chocarro.
