Saoirse Ronan is an American and Irish actress, born on April 12, 1994, in New York, United States. Daughter of Monica and Paul Ronan, both amateur actors, immigrants from Ireland, Saoirse is the only child of the couple, who returned to her native Dublin when the girl was only three years old. She grew up in County Carlow, where she would study at Ardattin National School, for a time, before being home-schooled by a private tutor and teacher.
